About a month has passed since the conclusion of the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, which, as every year, showcased the latest product innovations, trends, and visions for living, alongside exhibitions, site-specific installations, and talks with key figures in the design world.
Below, we present some of the novelties introduced by our brands.
Molteni&C, celebrating its 90-year history in this edition, presented a series of refined new products characterized by the combination of unique and sophisticated materials. With the modular wall units Logos, designed by Van Duysen, you can configure your living area wall completely to your liking; alternatively, you can opt for the Card bookcase by Anastassiades with its precise graphic identity. Among the key pieces of the new collection are the enveloping and round version of the Augusto modular sofa, the Lucio seats, and the Fonte coffee tables by Vincent Van Duysen. Two significant pieces have also been added to the Heritage Collection dedicated to the reissues of Gio Ponti's masterpieces: the Due Foglie D.157.6 sofa and the Continuum D.163.7 armchair. These 2024 novelties are in addition to the outdoor introductions from last February.
Among the reissues presented this year, Cassina's stand out: the Cornaro armchair and sofa designed by Carlo Scarpa, updated in collaboration with Tobia Scarpa; Table Monparnasse, Ventaglio table, and Indochine chaise longue by Charlotte Perriard; the Notturno a New York sofa by Gaetano Pesce of which only 50 pieces will be produced. Among the brand's absolute novelties, the armchair and sofa Dudet, which echo the forms of the eponymous chair, stood out.
De Padova, on the other hand, decided to celebrate the twenty years of the Pillow project designed by Vico Magistretti by introducing a new version called Pillow 20. Among the novelties presented by the Boffi | De Padova group, the outdoor complements stand out - the evolution of the Honoré collection designed by Elisa Ossino and the Afternoons series by Omi Tahara - and the new SaintPaul Shelving System bookcase.
Zanotta, which inaugurated its new showroom in Via Durini for the occasion, wanted to experiment with the use of innovative materials and distinctive colors. Among the introduced projects are the Gomma armchair designed by De Pas, D'Urbino, Lomazzi back in 1970, yet still original in its forms; the Z24 storage series by Muller Van Severen; console and coffee tables Zavolo, and the expansion of the Za:Za collection with the addition of the Za:Za Max sofa and bed designed by Zaven.
