Grand Prix 4130 chair is designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen with shell and legs in laminated beech veneer with the two outer layer in oak, walnut or coloured ash (white, black and nine grey) and matching finishing.
The Grand Prix chair, 4130 front upholstered model, is one of the three versions together with the fully wooden or fully upholstered chair.
Composed by the 3130 and 4130 chairs, the Grand Prix collection is one of Fritz Hansen's greatest success; it was introduced in 1957 at the Designers’ Spring Exhibition at the Danish Museum of Art & Design, at first and later that year, at the Milan Triennale where it gained the "Grand Prix" prize and therefore its current name that has replaces the original "Modèle 130".
After many years of production, these chairs continues to be very popular among design lovers who want it because of its solid and long-lasting seat and its everlasting shape.
