Grand Prix 4130 chair is designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen with shell in laminated, pressure moulded beech veneer, padded with polyurethane foam and covered with fabric or leather.
Base with four wooden legs consisting of 23 layers of laminated beech veneer with as outer veneer: oak, walnut or coloured ash (white, black and nine grey).
This 4130 fully upholstered version completes the Grand Prix collection which is composed by all the 4130 and 3130 chairs. This collection is one of the seat system designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen; originally known as "Modèle 130" it was introduced in 1957 at the Designers’ Spring Exhibition at the Danish Museum of Art & Design, at first and later that year, at the Milan Triennale where it gained the "Grand Prix" prize and therefore its current.
This is a collection that immediately became very popular, especially among Scandinavian and contemporary design lovers.
