Born in 1959 in Montargis, France, Christophe Pillet has shaped his career in the world of design, honing his talent at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art in Nice and the Domus Academy in Milan. In 1991, he inaugurated his studio in Milan, becoming an eclectic figure in the design landscape. His versatility emerged from collaborations with Martine Bedin and Michele De Lucchi in the Memphis group, followed by a key period with Philippe Starck from 1988 to 1993.
Named "Créateur de l’année" in 1994 at the Salon du Meuble de Paris, Pillet has continued to receive prestigious awards worldwide. His work, characterized by formal sobriety, artisanal quality, and stylistic elegance, spans from architecture to scenography, from interior design to product design.
Among his successful collaborations, standout projects include the Sunset armchair and High Time sofa and tables with Cappellini, the series of chairs Echoes S.H. and Any Day for Flexform, and the Meridiana furniture family with Driade. His signature can also be found in designs for Emu, Oluce, Lema, Tacchini, and Kartell, where he created the Shibuya vases.
