The Teahouse console is designed by Christophe Pillet for Ceccotti Collezioni with structure in solid American walnut and veneered plywood; the top is in wood and includes two drop-down doors.
The Teahouse console offers a contemporary take on a piece traditionally associated with the tea ceremony. Conceived to provide discreet and elegant storage, it stands out within the collection for its versatility: it blends seamlessly into a variety of home settings, from the living room to the entryway, and even into more intimate areas such as the bedroom or a private study.
As with all elements in the collection, the frame is defined by a pair of crossed stretchers that support a compact, harmonious volume. The two custom-made drop-down doors, fitted with sturdy burnished brass hinges, conceal a thoughtfully designed interior for the refined organization of small objects—making the console a quiet yet indispensable ally in daily life.
Attention to detail is evident in every construction element: the door panels extend slightly above the top surface, creating a 3-millimeter reveal that elegantly frames the console. The corners and edges are finished with precise mitre cuts, lending geometric rigor and visual continuity to the piece. Inside, a wooden pull-out drawer with beveled edges glides smoothly on metal runners and is designed to hold a leather mat with tone-on-tone perimeter stitching—a tailored detail that highlights the artisanal essence of the project.
The Teahouse collection, inspired by the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, includes this designer console, a table, a chair, a cabinet, and a coffee table with a marble top.
