Dot Pattern Light wall Lamp is designed by Charles and Ray Eames reissued by Cassina with a white or black matte painted aluminum structure, G9 light sources, and a voltage range of 100/220–240 V. Available in two versions: with four or six luminous spheres.
Thanks to a collaboration between Cassina and the Eames Office—now led by the grandchildren of Charles and Ray Eames—a new three-dimensional interpretation of the iconic Dot Pattern comes to life: the Dot Pattern Lights, a refined collection of wall and pendant lamps. These pieces blend the Eameses’ graphic sensibility and experimental spirit with cutting-edge lighting technology and advanced industrial production methods.
The original Dot Pattern dates back to 1947, when Charles and Ray Eames took part in a textile design competition organized by MoMA in New York. Although the design was never produced during their lifetime, over the decades it has become one of the duo’s most iconic and recognizable textile patterns. Characterized by abstract cross-shaped compositions—created with intersecting fine lines and dotted circles that give rhythm to the whole—the pattern shares a visual language with other Eames creations, such as the Hang-It-All coat rack (1953), with its metal rods and colorful spheres, and the Multiplication Machine, developed for the Mathematica exhibition in 1961.
