Treflo coffee table is designed by Ronan Bouroullec for Cassina with rigid polyurethane base with an internal frame and ballast in black-painted metal, available in a glossy or matte lacquer finish. The top is offered in lacquered MDF to match the base, with a matte black HPL underlay, or in thermoformed extra-clear tempered glass, back-lacquered with a soft-edged profile and an underlay in matte black lacquered MDF. The glass version is exclusively paired with the glossy lacquered base.
Unveiled during the 2025 Milano Design Week, the new Treflo coffee table series enriches and completes the namesake collection of dining tables by Cassina. This project blends formal experimentation, material innovation, and sustainability, offering a sculptural yet functional expression of contemporary elegance.
At the heart of the design is an iconic base, inspired by the soft, organic shape of a cloverleaf. The top, available either in lacquered finish (glossy or matte) or in back-lacquered rippled glass, engages in a dynamic interplay of reflections, textures, and depth with the base. In the glass version, the surface comes to life with delicate undulations reminiscent of water—subtle waves created through an advanced high-temperature molding process that requires extended craftsmanship times.
The base is made from rigid polyurethane, partially sourced from bio-based materials—a first for Cassina, marking a significant step in the brand’s ongoing commitment to sustainable materials and cutting-edge technologies.
Treflo coffee tables come in two sizes and heights, designed for both standalone use or harmonious group compositions. The refined color palette explores monochromatic tones, ranging from warm neutrals to deep midnight blues, and includes rich hues like Pinot Noir, brick red, and an elegant dark green.
