707 Fiandra modular sofa is designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina with powder-coated steel frame, polyurethane padding made with a percentage of recycled polyols, and recycled polyester fiber wadding, with fabric upholstery.
Originally conceived in 1975, Fiandra returns today with a renewed interpretation that retains its original spirit while evolving its language to engage with contemporary living spaces and needs. The sofa’s proportions have been expanded, and the seat height raised to 45 cm for improved accessibility. This new version reflects an even greater focus on wellbeing and sustainability.
The new Fiandra is modular, flexible, and designed to adapt naturally to a wide variety of interiors. Cassina expands the collection with new elements—including an armchair, sofa, chaise-longue, and square ottoman—allowing for unique compositions or stand-alone use of each module.
At the heart of the innovation lies the structure itself: the absence of co-molded components makes Fiandra easy to disassemble at the end of its lifecycle, promoting material recycling in line with circular economy principles. The differentiated-density padding is simply laid over a metal frame and encased in an inner cover made of recycled polyester fiber, ensuring both stability and comfort.
