Ouverture sofa is designed by Pierluigi Cerri for Poltrona Frau with load-bearing frame, feet, and armrests made of semi-oval steel profiles with die-cast aluminum end elements. The seat structure rests on a perforated T-beam in steel with the same finish. Backrest made of sheet steel and aluminum profiles. All metal parts are finished in matte black epoxy powder coating.
Seat and back cushions are padded with goose down and polyester wadding, with a stabilizing insert in polyurethane foam, and upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. In the fabric version, the back of the backrest is always covered in Pelle Frau® SC leather. The backrest and seat are joined by a concealed hinge, while the seat and armrest cushions are secured to the structure with black leather straps fastened by buttons.
