Octave sofa, designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Molteni, is composed by a structure with frame in solid Firwood and wood particle panels with elastic straps.
Padding is made of high performance variable density polyurethane foam and cover in bonded velveteen. Seat cushions are in polyurethane and sterilized feathers with insert in shaped.
Cover is in 100% cotton. Backrest and lower back support cushions are in polyester fibre and sterilised down with cover in 100% cotton. Headrest is made by polyurethane foam with high bearing capacity and cover in bonded velveteen. Trinket trays are made of hot-welded steel sheet covered in bonded hide leather in colours from the Molteni range. Feet are in painted hot-welded steel with non-slip plastic ferrules. Outer cover is removable.
Octave is a modular sofa featuring geometrical lines and very rigorous shapes.
Blade-like extruded steel legs with well marked edges give an airy look to this sofa, which it just raises by ground with lightness and modesty. Low rectangular backrests are intercut with seat cushions supported by complementary cushions, guaranteeing the utmost comfort.
These different heights break the Octave's geometric design giving it a moderate dynamic air.
