Hector bookcase, designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Molteni&C, is realized by mounting bracket in aluminium extrusion, painted or anodised and covered with sliced wood veneer and by shelf frame in solid wood or in painted aluminium, made up of mould die cast parts and extruded parts.
Shelves have inserts in extra-clear transparent or smoked tempered glass or miedium density fibre panel covered with sliced wood veneer. Decoder container unit and the container with flap door are made of chipboard panel covered with sliced wood veneer. The flap door interior is available with an insert in bonded hide leather.
The mounting bracket, h. max 315, can be made to measure, at no extra cost.
The height at which the shelves and container are positioned is at the client’s discretion.
This fascinating bookcase is based on modularity concept, which involves the realization of dynamic or linear composition. Original tray-like shelves, with rounded edges on the corners and closed storage units with hinged tops are hooked to the slim uprights.
The various combinations of possible finishes enriche the basic Hector's structure. Metal paired with glass give to bookcase a modernal look, while wood clearly appears more traditional.
