Florence Knoll Relax armchair is designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll with metal frame and legs in heavy gauge tubular steel available in polished chrome or lacquered in bronze or anthracite color; seat suspension with variable density foam.
Seat and back cushions padded with variable density foam welted and covered with polyester fiberfills, with upholstery "quilted' with buttons for the version in leather and without buttons for the upholstered version with fabrics.
Available also untufted.
From the 1940s, Florence Knoll and her husband Hans Knoll worked together to spread a new concept of architecture and design in the United States, inspired by the style of the Bauhaus: furnitures became an integral part of architecture, bringing the modernist style, already very much in use for the exterior of buildings, even inside of them.
