Working as a commercial representative for leading companies in the leather industry, Frau discovered the captivating Chesterfield armchairs during a business trip to England. Enchanted by their elegance, he decided to import them to Italy, immediately recognizing their potential.

In 1912, with a clear vision and a burning passion, Renzo Frau founded Poltrona Frau.
