VLA75 Foyer Series bench designed by Vilhelm Theodor Lauritzen for Carl Hansen & Søn with frame in solid oak in soap or oil finishing, seat upholstered with foam padding and leather cover.
This bench is one of three pieces of furniture created in 1945 by Vilhelm Lauritzen to decorate the Radiohuset in Copenhagen, home of the national Danish broadcaster Danmarks Radio, which today houses the Royal Danish Academy of Music. The VLA75 Foyer Series bench is simple in its expression: it supports an upholstered cushion with handmade buttons on its solid oak frame. Adapted in length and comfort to present-day needs, the beauty of its original design remains timeless.
The collection is completed by the VLA77 sofa and VLA76 armchair.
