The Combine Evolution kitchen, designed by Piero Lissoni for Boffi, features a modular system of storage units designed for island configurations.
The 14 mm-thick fronts can be opened by gripping the upper part of the door, which slightly protrudes above the worktop. The worktop is built on a perimeter aluminium frame and is available with bevelled edges, with a total thickness of 35 mm (20 mm + 15 mm bevelled perimeter profile), or with a smooth edge, also 35 mm thick.
The worktop can also incorporate the Inside System, an equipped channel protected by a sliding cover, designed to accommodate accessories such as cutlery trays, spice racks and retractable electrical sockets.
The working area is completed by an integrated downdraft extractor hood and a matt black lacquered rail equipped with LED lighting.
The plinth, made of an extruded aluminium profile, is available in the standard 10 cm height, in white or matt black, stainless steel and various other finishes. Combine Evolution received an Honourable Mention at the 2022 ADI Compasso d'Oro.
Combine Evolution reinterprets the concept of the monobloc kitchen, transforming it into a complete and highly functional island system. The composition integrates dedicated areas for cooking, washing and food preparation, connected by an equipped metal structure and complemented by a spacious solid wood slatted snack counter. The oversized fronts and worktops with bevelled perimeter edges accentuate the monolithic and sculptural character of the design, which offers numerous compositional and material possibilities, combining functionality with aesthetic research.
