The K6 kitchen is designed by Norbert Wangen for Boffi in monoblock or two blocks versions, with sliding worktop along the backside realized in stainless steel, corian or wood veneer with stainkess steel edge.
In the first version there's a fixed working surface in brushed stainless steel with welded sink and a cooktop completely covered by the sliding upper top usable as a dining/snack bar table.
Instead, the kitchen composed by two blocks is divided in this way: the washing area consists of a fixed working surface with under-sink base units, door for dishwasher, storage base unit (only for L. 240 cm) and upper sliding worktop that totally conceals the block; and a cooking block with external fixed working surface/hob in stainless steel or white corian. Front panels, without handle, are opened through the bevelled edge at the top of the door.
The sliding top has a deep of 95 cm close, and 160 cm once open.
In the K6 kitchen model the concept of the hideaway kitchen developes changing the sliding of the top, from lateral in to the back side, giving a service and a conviviality more direct and frontal on a mobile surface that turns into a table. Discovering the under worktop, this double functionality creates a geometric play, especially in the kitchen with two blocks, where are displayed three different spaces of washing, cooking and table that coexist each other as an armonic architettonic project of decostruttivism.
