Marcuso table is designed by Marco Zanuso and riedited by Zanotta with base and legs in polished varnished steel and top in Calacatta marble or MDF tops, matt or glossy lacquered in the same colours of the base.
Originally designed in 1969 by Marco Zanuso, the Marcuso table is a landmark in Italian industrial design. In 2025, Zanotta reintroduced this iconic piece, enriching it with new finishes and materials while preserving its original innovative spirit.
Alongside the classic version featuring a glass top and cylindrical stainless steel legs [2532], the updated collection includes models with glossy painted steel bases, paired with Calacatta marble or lacquered MDF tops—available in either a matching glossy finish or a contrasting matte.
What sets the Marcuso table apart is its strikingly minimal structure and its revolutionary construction method. Inspired by car deflector technology, Zanuso applied an advanced technique from the automotive industry—using bonded stainless steel discs—to eliminate traditional support elements. The result is a table that appears remarkably light and modern, both in form and function.
More than just a feat of design engineering, Marcuso is a collectible work of art. It’s part of the permanent collections of institutions such as the Triennale Design Museum in Milan and the Design Museum in Ghent. With its seamless blend of aesthetics and functionality, the Marcuso table is perfectly suited to a range of interiors—from contemporary dining rooms to executive offices and gallery spaces where it can serve as a bold, sculptural centerpiece.
