Marcuso table is designed by Marco Zanuso for Zanotta with 18/8 stainless steel legs and base, 15 mm thick tempered glass top. Except for the round versions, the legs are screwed into stainless steel plates bonded to the glass surface and can be disassembled.
The inspiration for the Marcuso table stemmed from an idea by Aurelio Zanotta, founder of the namesake company. While observing the small movable windows on cars—secured with glued-on knobs—he envisioned a similar technique applied to furniture. Zanotta entrusted the project to Marco Zanuso, renowned for his innovative approach, to bring this vision to life. The result was a table that challenged traditional structural norms, introducing a groundbreaking method of connecting materials. Four stainless steel discs are bonded directly to the glass top using a UV-cured adhesive, and the legs are then screwed into these discs, creating a strong yet visually lightweight connection.
Marcuso’s design is rooted in pure geometric forms, giving the table a timeless aesthetic and great versatility. In 2025, the Marcuso 2532 model with a round top joined the original square and rectangular 2530 versions.
First designed in 1969, the Marcuso table remains a benchmark in contemporary design. Its ability to blend seamlessly into various settings and its modular, disassemblable structure make it an ideal choice for those seeking both functionality and style.
