The M10-4 table, design by Erich Brendel for Tecta, is a reproduction of the revolutionary, original design of 1924, which has influenced a massive number of space saving tables since its inception.
The table Bauhaus M10-4 has 4 flaps in ash lacquered black, white, red or natural, and castors allow for it to be moved easily. The base contains an adjustable inside shelf and 2 black insert plates. The sides of the table top can be folded, and pieces are stored within the base to complete the hexagonal form of the table.
Erich Brendel was one of the participants at the Bauhaus School and in 1923 he was one of the interior designers involved in decorating the House at Horn in Weimar. It provided "the greatest comfort with the greatest economy by the application of the best craftsmanship and the best distribution of space in form, size, and articulation" according to Gropius, the head of the Bauhaus School.
Made in Germany by Tecta.
A licensed reproduction of Bauhaus Designs by Tecta are approved by the Bauhaus Archive in Berlin and carry the Signet "Original Bauhaus Modell" designed by Oskar Schlemmer at The Bauhaus Weimar in 1922.
