Piccadilly armchair, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Molteni, is realized by a compact moulded polyurethane shell and seat padding in high performance variable density polyurethane foam, with cover in bonded velveteen. The seat, made of plywood panel, and the backrest are padded with polimex (composite polyester/polyurethane material) covered with variable density high-resistance polyurethane foam, and cover in bonded velveteen. Seat structure is in chipboard panel with cotton/polyester fibre fabric cover.
The base is in die-cast polished or painted aluminium. Ferrules in non-slip plastic.
Cover is removable.
Dordoni has designed a new armchair collection, assemblying different shapes and surfaces. Piccadilly armchairs are characterized by a balanced formal design; and in combination with Molteni's leathers and fabrics they look bold and sober at the same time. Although shell, backrest and seat seem separated between them, they follow a continuous line and can be seen by any angle, especially in the without-armrests version.
To embellish armchairs, there also are a revolving pressure die-cast aluminium base, in two finishes, plus a pouf. Thanks to these features, Piccadilly are extremely versatile armchairs.
