Description: Søborg Wood base Chair is designed by Børge Mogensen for Fredericia with frame in solid wood, seat and back in moulded plywood with oak or walnut top veneer with powder coated metal screws. Non removable pad upholstered with High Resilience foam, covered with fabric or leather. Available in two versions: with pad on seat [3051] or with pad on seat and back [3052]

The Søborg Wood base Chair was released in 1950, inspired by the international design competition for low-cost furniture organized by MoMA. It is an excellent examples of Mogensen's crisp and timeless functionalism, merged with the cabinetmaking expertise and the use of new production tecniques. This chair, designed with rounded corners and gentle lines, becomes softer thanks to the upholstered pads that, together with the ample-sized seat and back, ensure endless hours of comfort.
