Petra armchair is designed by Viggo Boesen for &Tradition with frame in solid beech and plywood, padded in HR foam and polyester wadding, with upholstery in fabric or sheepskin. Oak or walnut solid wood legs, with oil finishing, fitted with felt gliders. With or without matching footrest.
The Little Petra seating collection, dating back to 1938, has been enriched with this new VB3 armchair characterized by an even higher backrest and a deeper seat. The history of this collection is unique: after Little Petra's debut and the accolades garnered at Copenhagen, New York, and Berlin exhibitions, the original design had not been used in production in roughly 80 years, untill in 2018, when the original designs were discovered rolled inside a cigar box among the designer's personal belongings. Petra, was Boesen's mother-in-law, she was said to be a petite woman with a strong personality; her presenxe is felt in the design of this bold and enveloping armchair. Petra embodies the Danish design style, known as "funkis," and the functionalist approach that has recently regained popularity worldwide. The armchair is suitable for decorating both classic and contemporary interiors.
