Serenissimo Table is designed by Lella e Massimo Vignelli, David Law for Acerbis with four cylindrical bases in painted steel tube or Encaustic, micaceous gray painted metal frame and crystal top. Available in six sizes.
The Serenissimo table, with the rigorous elegance of its essential lines, reinterprets the concept of the table as a work of three-dimensional graphics. True to Lella and Massimo Vignelli's original vision, this creation speaks through the purity of its geometry and the refinement of its materials. Its structure is composed of four slender columns that support a single horizontal steel bar, creating the illusion that the table top is floating in space.
The primary forms, enhanced by fine metal finishes and the refined tones of Venetian stucco, are combined with a large glass top that can be: transparent; frosted, or etched on the top (silky effect to the touch) and back-painted on the underside; opalescent, or with a shiny top side and etched on the underside; and cast, or with a wrinkled underside and back-painted.
The top suspended above an altar-like base creates balance between monumentality and lightness. The result is a harmonious composition that blends design, art and architecture into a single element.
