Ren Bookcase is the bookcase that enhances the collection of the same name designed by Lyndon Neri & Rossana Hu whose shapes are inspired by the Chinese ideogram “人” or “Ren,” meaning “person” or “human being.” Two simple strokes in a pictographic representation of the human figure, the longer stroke protrudes slightly and is supported by the shorter one. The two elements depend on each other for stability, in a relationship that exactly expresses the architectural construction of each element in the Ren collection.
The creations are small and light, characterized by ingenious suspensions, playful counterweights and simple joints that evoke the Oriental conception of space and design.
The Ren collection contains: dressing table, mirror with hangers, magazine rack, coffee table, and valet.
