Jane table is designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Poltrona Frau with a marble top and three or four columns at the base, with a solid beech inner core enclosed by four high-density MDF panels shaped veneered in flamed ash in a moka stain, titanium-colored steel floor plate; a plate made up of a head plate comprising a length of pipe of a specific diameter welded onto two plates that allow the connection between the top and supporting column. Available with shaped top with rounded edge or with circular top consisting of 4 radial sections and a Lazy Susan rotating sector. The Ø200 table is available only in a glossy finish with polyester treatment.
With Jane, Jean-Marie Massaud subverts the traditional rules of design and conceives of the table as an organic, free form in space. With great stage presence, the Jane table rests on three or four large, irregular, imposing, almost sculptural supports. The massive solidity of the bases creates a striking contrast with the airy lightness of the large surface, accentuated by the beveled corners and irregular shape. The ingenious steel connection between the supports and the top emphasizes the feeling that the top is floating in space.
The Jane table, with its round or unconventional shape, avoids imposing positions or hierarchies, allowing 5, 8, or even 10 people to gather around it. Its versatility makes it ideal not only as a dining table, but also as a workspace, offering a large top to organize in complete freedom. Perfect for informal spaces, Jane is also a stylish choice for an executive office.
