Blisscape sofa designed by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba for Poltrona Frau with cylindrical legs in black anodized aluminum and a black-painted tubular metal frame. The backrest structure is made of solid beech and poplar wood, birch plywood, and fiberboard panels, with shaped side elements in molded polyurethane foam. The armrest combines sheet steel and birch plywood with light padding. The base, backrest, and armrests are all padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in leather. Seat cushions in the “Soft comfort” version, with goose down and polyester wadding padding with stabilizing polyurethane foam insert or in “Firm comfort” with polyester wadding padding and polyurethane foam insert; backrest cushions in polyester fiber with a polyurethane insert and includes a metal mechanism that allows adjustable positioning; armrest cushions padded with polyester fiber, with stabilizing polyurethane insert, secured to the armrest structure with snap buttons.
All cushions are available with removable covers in leather or fabric. For a bicolor version, the structure and cushions can be upholstered in two shades of the same leather—except for the Velvety leather finish, which is only available in a single color.
Blisscape is the embodiment of suspended comfort: a modular seating system made up of linear and corner elements, chaise longues, and ottomans, offering endless configuration possibilities. Its name—born from the fusion of “bliss” and “escape”—captures its essence: a sanctuary of relaxation.
Blisscape sofas are defined by their inviting seating and, most notably, by an advanced backrest system: each cushion is equipped with a bayonet mechanism that allows users to adjust the incline to their preferred posture. The differentiated-zone padding—drawing inspiration from mattress technology—enhances breathability, comfort, and support, ensuring long-lasting softness and durability.
