The Jardín armchair is designed by CRS Paola Lenti for Paola Lenti with a glossy painted aluminum structure and hand woven flat rope in Twiggy yarn. Available in two models: armchair and lounge chair.
The Jardín collection features colorful and lightweight elements designed for outdoor spaces but also suitable for indoor use, drawing inspiration from the work of Cuban designer Clara Porset. She was a close collaborator of Luis Barragán and an active figure in the Mexican artistic scene of the 1930s. Paola Lenti's new collection pays homage to the series of furniture that Clara Porset designed in 1957 for the Marqués Hotel in Acapulco, at the time an example of cutting-edge architecture. These furnishings were later presented at the Milan Triennale, where Porset was awarded with a silver medal.
The original materials, such as wicker weaving, have been updated with the use of an exclusive technical yarn called Twiggy, designed for outdoor use and characterized by resistance, waterproofing, non-toxicity, and recyclability. The structure, originally in curved wood, has also been reproduced using glossy painted aluminum, a more high-performing and durable material. The collection offers a palette of colors that can be matched to the upholstery fabrics, thus allowing customization of the furnishings according to the tastes and needs of customers.
