Mateo table is designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Molteni&C with Internal metal structure with steel counterweights (where necessary) and curved outer shell made of moulded, edge-glued medium-density fibreboard covered in wood veneer or made of moulded rigid lacquered polyurethane. Top in medium-density fibreboard panel covered with wood veneer or painted matching the base, or in marble (for the marble version Ø180-200 the top is always 4 segments) with glossy or matt surface treatment and support in laminate-faced particle board or medium-density fibreboard panel painted black. For some tables you can add a lazy susan marble.
Vincent Van Duysen has reimagined the dining room with a stunning new table: Mateo. The table is perched upon a curved base that flares out very slightly as it goes down, providing stability and solidity while adding a touch of the unexpected. The conical base is available in two versions — one round and one ovular — to seamlessly integrate into existing spaces. Available in an array of sizes, heights and configurations to suit varying compositions of families and groups, the table is designed to be a centerpiece for creating traditions that span decades.
The Mateo table reinvents the notion of dining for the contemporary home. Scalable proportions meet a clean aesthetic for a timeless piece destined to be at the center of many years of memories.
