The Asmara sofa is designed by Bernard Govin for Ligne Roset with structure in high resilience Bultex polyurethane foam with polyester wadding and elastic fabric cover, with baguette stitching. Modular through four distinct modules: convex (element 501), concave (element 502), small back (element 503), large back (element 504); available side table semicircular birch plywood with American walnut veneer.
After being visible for a long time only at the Musée des Arts décoratifs, Asmara sofa has been back into Ligne Roset’s collection for its 160th anniversary (2020). In 1968, to present this sofa designed by Bernard Govin, who at the time was defined as a U.F.O., Vogue America titled "A new way of living!" also referring to the "low look" a modern floor-loving style of interior arrangement.
