Matteo folding console table, design by Giò Ponti for L'abbate This folding table has a solid beech wood base with a top in medium density fiberboard or veneered board dyed natural beech color.

The Matteo table was designed during the 1950s by Giò Ponti, and thanks to manufacturer L'Abbate has been back on the market since 2006.

The uniqueness of the table lies in the mechanism that allows to transform it into a console table. It in fact can be folded o two sides and can thus have 3 different sizes;120 cm circumference when completely open, 72,5 cm  wide when a single side is lowered, and 25 cm wide when both sides are lowered. This makes Matteo an extremely versatile table perfect for small spaces.

Despite having been designed and first produced in the 1950s, this table is as fresh as ever and has numerous imitations.
