Corona Chair is designed by Poul M. Volther for Fredericia with swivel base and frame of spring steel with brushed chrome or black finishing. Seat and back of four separate rounded pads, descending in size, in moulded cold cured foam, with fabric or leather cover.
The Corona Chair was designed in 1964 with a sculptural, eye-catching and original silhoutte; it has not found a large audience until 1997 when it has been relaunched at
the Cologne Furniture Fair in Germany, and then at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair in Denmark.
The Corona chair combines organic expression and technical streamlining, with the four shells, inspired by human spinal column and ribs, giving a maximum support of the body. Due to its floating parts, Corona seems to be almost transparent and easily blends in with the room.
