Born in Meda in 1950, Citterio began his career in 1972 by collaborating in the field of industrial design with various companies. His revolutionary vision is manifested through design icons such as the Sity system for B&B Italia, winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 1986, the Charles, AC Lounge, and Richard collections, as well as the Groundpiece and Soft Dream sofas for Flexform.
His creative genius extends well beyond product design, embracing architectural design for showrooms, industrial facilities, and residential complexes. In 1999, together with Patricia Viel, he founded the studio Antonio Citterio and Partners, now known as Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, a multifunctional entity engaged in diverse projects in the fields of design and architecture.
Citterio's creations span from multifunctional and modular seating to storage furniture, from armchairs to kitchens, collaborating with prestigious companies such as Vitra, Maxalto, Flos, Kartell, and many others. His works are exhibited in the world's most renowned design museums, a testament to his lasting impact.
