"Fauteuil Grand Confort, grand modèle" was designed in 1928 and then produced by Cassina since 1965.
The geometric structural drawing is modulated after the golden section, the resulting scansion reminding us of the play of empty and full spaces to be found in Le Corbusier’s earliest style. Four cushions, free of connections, are held within a lacquered or chrome-plated steeltube cage making up the primary support of the object.
