Rio designed by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina is a round side table constructed from six wedge sections of varying radiuses set out of alignment alongside each other with an outside edge of solid natural oak or open-pored black-stained oak. The six non-aligned sections, forming the table top with a hole in the centre, are available in three different finishes: rattan with natural oak edges, white Carrara marble with natural oak edges and black Marquiña marble with open-pored black stained oak edges.
Six legs in the same fi nishes as the edges form the base of the side table.
This table was designed in two different sizes by Charlotte Perriand. Cassina has re-released the version first designed in 1962 for Jacques Martin’s home in Rio. Later, she adapted and expanded this table for the Japanese Embassy in Paris.
