Riflesso designed by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina is a container unit in black painted wood exterior and bordeaux interior, with sliding doors in satin-finished aluminium, clear painted. Interior shelves in satin finished aluminium, clear painted. The unit is equipped with high or low support feet.
Charlotte Perriand created this piece for her own use in 1939. To eliminate any visual sense of depth and width, the design makes optimal use of brushed metal sliding doors to reflect light. The sensorial pleasure is emphasised even in the act of opening and closing the unit. The structure and finish of each component tend to enhance the tactile qualities of this piece. Available in two heights, it effectively conveys Charlotte Perriand’s carefully considered response to the demands of both Western and Eastern cultures.
