The Piumotto sofa is designed by Franco Driusso for Busnelli with a structure made of multi-layer poplar and solid fir wood with polycarbonate. The seat suspension consists of 9 cm-wide elastic straps, interwoven for durability. The padding is made of polyurethane in different densities with a fiber cover, and the upholstery is fully removable in both fabric and leather versions.
The base is also upholstered and can be accessorized with four buckles positioned at the corners. Available in linear and modular versions.
The re-edition of Piumotto bridges memory and modernity. Busnelli entrusted Franco Driusso with the task of reinterpreting the historical model, translating its essence into a contemporary language. The result is a refined restyling that preserves the original character while introducing more sustainable materials and production processes. The outcome is a “gentle rebirth” that retains the enveloping comfort of the iconic piece and projects it into a conscious design, intended to become the aesthetic and functional heart of any space.
