The Xila kitchen is designed by Luigi Massoni for Boffi with modular system of base and tall units without handle. The doors are opened through the upper handle-rails made of aluminium (with stainless steel finish, matt white or matt black), directly mounted on the panel. The unit base can be also opened through the automatic push-opening mechanism. The materials and finishes used to realize worktops and units are wide: woods, metals, stones, MDI etc. Programma Standard or Aprile wall units can be match with Xila kitchen.
In 1972 Luigi Massoni designed Xila, the modular kitchen system that entered the history of Italian design for the absolute innovation of the handle-free fronts. The door was designed to act as a cover and handle in the meantime; the result is an overall appearance of lightness and continuity. The possibility to choose from a wide range of materials, gives the kitchen a different look, where at the base always there's the concept of simplicity, clean shapes and compositional elegance.
