Bracelli floor lamp designed by Salvador Dalí is a reproduction by BD Barcelona Design, with zig-zag pyramidal pedestal in panel structure covered in fine gold leaf. Ivory-coloured cotton and rayon shade, hand made.
A standing lamp which corresponds to the work of Jean Michel Frank, adopted by Dalí for his house at Port Lligat. Gold leaf due to it’s being a noble metal is one of Dalí’s obsessions as 'Muleta's.
Also available in the Black Label Limited Edition with shade in black -coloured cotton and rayon.
During the '30s in Paris, Salvador Dalí sorrounded himself with a circle of friends involved in the application of art to varied disciplines, above and beyond the study of pure pictorial art. Jean-Michel Frank, a furniture maker and decorator of recognized prestige in the Paris of those years, was on very good terms with Dalí and together they worked on several ideas.
In the 1990s a group of experts, led by Oscar Tusquets, set themselves the task of turning the furniture Dalí had drawn for Jean-Michel Frank into reality. BD Barcelona Design organised production and exclusive world marketing, guaranteed by The Gala Salvador Dali Foundation responsible for the painter’s rights.
