M table designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Agapecasa is entirely made of marble, with a turned central support characterized by a hyperboloid section which, wider at the base, tapers upwards, slanting the entire body to open up to accommodate the circular top, simply supported and stopped by a joint obtained in the thickness of the top.
In M, form and elegant solution design a very stable table, the first example in Mangiarotti's work of using marble for the construction of home furnishings. The M marbles are offered with a particular finish that best enhances the characteristics of the stone material, caressing and supporting the rounded profiles of this "sculpture" for the interior architecture of exemplary proportions. This apparently simple table contains in a single element some themes already explored by Angelo Mangiarotti in his previous projects. On the one hand, the design of the M table further declines the geometric concepts underlying the CAP53 vases: circles, hyperboloids and turning. On the other hand, it can also be seen as a direct geometric evolution of 'SK207 but this time the resulting object is entirely made of marble. Finally, with its single gravity joint that connects the top to the base, the M table can also be seen as the zero point of a research that will give us in the following years four masterpieces such as Eros, Incas, Asolo and More.
