Shoji screen designed by Time & Style ēdition with a frame made from untreated solid Japanese cedar or covered in washi paper. Washi paper is also applied to one side of the panels and used to craft the hinges.
Shoji is a poetic yet highly functional piece of furniture rooted in authentic Japanese design. This three-panel room divider transforms any space by diffusing a soft, warm light and creating a unique sense of openness and depth. Its structure is crafted from fine, unvarnished Akita cedar wood, arranged in a delicate lattice to highlight the natural grain and signature fragrance of the raw material. The core of the divider is lined on one side with a seamless sheet of Echizen washi paper from Fukui Prefecture—an ancient, lightweight, yet remarkably resilient fiber applied without visible joints.
The construction of the Shoji folding screen honors traditional Japanese craftsmanship: the panels are joined using hand-applied paper hinges, completely eliminating the need for metal hardware or mechanical fixings.
