Philia sofa designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Roda with teak base and seat support and feet in powder-coated stainless steel; backrest and armrests with batyline upholstery and belts. Cushions with standard or water-draining padding and outdoor fabric upholstery.
The Philia series of modular outdoor sofas is inspired by the nautical world; it is distinguished by its sophisticated lines, generous dimensions and the fine use of certified natural teak, a material that immediately evokes the timeless appeal of luxury yachts.
The fulcrum of the project is the carabottino, the wooden grating typical of nautical furniture, here reinterpreted as the supporting structure of the entire furniture system. From the coffee table to modular seating, to larger solutions such as the sofa and the sumptuous double chaise longue, each element of Philia is designed to integrate harmoniously into outdoor spaces, offering a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. The perimeter frame, an architectural and functional element at the same time, serves as a support for the backrests and transforms into a refined tabletop, creating a harmonious alternation between wooden surfaces and soft upholstery. The lightly padded backrests and armrests can be reclined in three positions, offering a customizable relaxation experience. The armrest, in particular, adapts with versatility by becoming a backrest or headrest, thus emphasizing the collection's transformative soul.
With Philia, outdoor design meets artisan savoir-faire, creating an oasis of exclusive comfort, where the elegance of wood is combined with the versatility of configurations and the refinement of details.
