Tobu modular sofa is designed by Francesco Rota for Porro with an external frame in polyurethane-foamed metal that can be upholstered in leather or fabric. Seat cushions padded with polyurethane foam, and backrest cushions filled with polyester fiber, both featuring removable covers in fabric or leather. Extruded aluminum base in an Iron painted finish or wrapped in leather.
The Tobu modular sofa redefines comfort as an enveloping visual and tactile experience, offering a refined yet relaxed take on contemporary living spaces. Designed around a precise geometric motif—an 85x85 cm square module—it evolves into an extraordinarily flexible modular system. Tobu's distinctive character lies in the striking contrast between its plush, generous seats and the sleek outline of its side wings, available high for the backrest or low for the armrest. Gently angled to cradle the body naturally, these architectural elements rest on a solid ground base—available in Iron painted aluminum or upholstered in fine leather—creating a sense of weightlessness and elegant material continuity. The modular composition is finished with a relaxed arrangement of loose cushions in three sizes, engineered to deliver tailored support and add a personalized touch. From versatile three- or four-seater linear layouts to expansive corner configurations or setups featuring a chaise longue module, Tobu offers complete design freedom, enabling you to mix removable fabrics, color textures, and leather accents to bring bespoke character to the most sophisticated living interiors.
