Schermo, design by Alessandro Mendini for Porro, is a square sideboard with a unexpected profile, a piece of furniture where art and design come together.
Schermo has wooden base, and the sloping hinged door has an inlaid design on the front, obtained combining three different types of wood (elm, oak and acacia) according to abstract geometric compositions where straight and curved lines cross over each other taking unexpected directions. With a maple interior, pliable brass and bronze details, and the unexpected three-dimensionality in its profile, Schermo belongs to a small limited edition series (99 pieces) of exquisite and collectible furniture.Limited Edition-
