Origata bench is designed by Nao Tamura for Porro with 6-mm aluminum foil frame cut, folded and assembled through a dedicated joint, gloss lacquered finish. Available with or without removable seat cushion, attached to the structure with a textile loop and a metal rod.
The Origata bench stands out as authentic works with a monolithic character, inspired by the ancient Japanese art of kimono making. Just like traditional Japanese garments, created by cutting and stitching rectangular fabrics to minimize waste, these furnishings come to life from a single sheet of aluminum foil. The essential, clean-cut lines, combined with visible screw assembly, shape an extremely rational design that makes full use of the material while adhering to a principle of sustainability and functionality.
With an aesthetic that combines minimalist geometries and pop suggestions, the Origata bench is much more than a piece of furniture: it is a three-dimensional sculpture, a visual play that enhances symmetry, balance, and the intense expressive power of color. Its brutalist structure is gently softened by a soft cushion, making it perfect for completing spaces such as entryways, sleeping areas or waiting areas, in both residential and hospitality settings. Origata offers an elegant and versatile solution capable of transforming the environment, adding harmony and balance with a touch of sophisticated simplicity.
The new Origata collection, consisting of the bench and console table, represents a combination of purity of gesture and timeless aesthetic refinement. The result of a collaboration between the brand and the designer, the project embodies shared values of cultural identity and international vision, making these pieces ideal for home or professional settings. Every detail reflects meticulous care, designed to dialogue with contemporary spaces and offer a new perspective on modern living.
