Endless Shelf bookcase is designed by Werner Aisslinger for Porro with structure made of self-supporting panels in solid dark-stained walnut and mocha-colored die-cast aluminum joints. It is a freestanding system. For configurations exceeding four modules in height, wall anchoring is required.
Endless Shelf by Porro returns in a new edition that enhances Werner Aisslinger’s original 1996 concept. Its strength lies in its intuitive modularity and design freedom: an “endless” system conceived to evolve over time and adapt to different spaces and functions. The structure is based on self-supporting panels connected by die-cast aluminum joints in the distinctive X, T, and L shapes—a technical detail that becomes a recognizable aesthetic feature, defining the architectural rhythm of the bookcase.
The new solid dark-stained walnut, crafted from slats of varying widths and then joined into a single surface, lends chromatic depth and a soft, silky tactile quality. The material takes center stage, engaging in dialogue with the project’s clean lines to create a refined balance between functionality and visual presence. Endless Shelf integrates naturally into both residential and professional interiors, bringing a distinctive yet never intrusive character, capable of enriching any space with discreet, contemporary elegance.
The re-edition also introduces a new foot that slightly raises the bookcase, lightening its visual impact and making even more contemporary a design that has marked the history of modular furniture. Available configurations range from compact solutions to larger compositions, offering maximum flexibility for displaying books, objects, and personal collections.
