Archiproducts Design Awards 2024

International design gathered in Milan for the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 ceremony, held Nov. 14 in the striking industrial setting of Superstudio. The event brought together some of the biggest players on the global architecture and design scene, celebrating excellence, innovation and sustainability.

Among the most anticipated moments of the evening was the award of Designer of the Year 2024 to Patricia Urquiola. Appreciated for her extraordinary versatility and contribution to contemporary design, Urquiola said, “I like to think that this award is for all of us, a recognition of the exploration and collaboration between designers and companies in the search for new materials and languages.”

The jurors, prominent representatives of global design such as OMA, Studio Libeskind and Stefano Boeri Interiors, contributed unique perspectives, enriching the judging process with deep, multidisciplinary analysis.

The iconic ADA 2024 trophy, designed by MUT Design and made by De Castelli, embodies the elegance of contemporary design with the new DeNuance Oceano Copper finish. The Sustainability Award winners, on the other hand, were presented with an exclusive trophy made of Lebanon Cedar wood, a tribute to nature and the circular economy designed by AMDL Circle and made by Riva 1920.

The evening was also an opportunity to announce the global expansion of Archiproducts with the opening of new offices in China and India, consolidating the role of design as an engine of cultural and social transformation.

The Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 once again proved to be an international stage for celebrating creativity and the endless possibilities of contemporary design.
