Loveland sofa is designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso with an internal wooden frame padded in differentiated-density polyurethane foam and polyester fibre, and varnished ash wood feet. Upholstery is available in fabric, with or without quilted stitching, or in leather.
Loveland represents the contemporary evolution of the iconic Lowland seating system designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso in 2000. This new interpretation preserves the rationalist elegance of the original while introducing a softer, more natural language, in keeping with the principles of sustainable design.
The architectural lines are gently relaxed through more generous seats and backrests, while the original steel bases give way to refined solid ash wood platforms. The result is a harmonious balance between formal rigour and material warmth, lending the sofa a sophisticated yet more organic presence.
(Mr) Loveland stands out for its modular composition, where each element—seat, backrest, armrest—interacts with the others like a fluid, ever-changing landscape. Essential forms come together in a dynamic system that adapts effortlessly to both residential and contract environments.
This reinterpretation is not purely aesthetic; it is also a conscious step toward more responsible production. By revisiting an iconic design and selecting natural, long-lasting materials, (Mr) Loveland becomes an evergreen of contemporary design, seamlessly blending memory and innovation.
