The D.270.2 armchair is designed by Gio Ponti and riedited by Molteni with structure in ash solidwood available in natural colour or open pore black lacquered. Feet are in non-slip plastic material.
Seat and back are in veneer padded with shaped polyurethane, covered in cotton/polyester fabric. Fixed cover in fabric or leather.
The “Poltrona di poco sedile” is a small armchair very versatile, light but strong. A reading chair or to watch tv, it's a chair for everybody and for all occasions. "To be comfortable, crossing legs, you need a small seat and a big backrest: inclined like this" says Gio Ponti.
It was presented in 1970, with the chair, at the Eurodomus 3 fair in Milan, one of the four leading exhibition on the theme of the modern house, organized by Domus magazine and Torino Esposizioni. Furniture made to enjoy the most room of every space, not filling them with voluminous objects, heavy, adamant, to create a new "domestic landscape".
