Sumo bed is designed by Mauro Lipparini for MisuraEmme with headboard and frame in particleboard panel, covered in fabric or leather non-removable.
The upholstery cover is stretched over the ring on the external side of the headboard whilst its front surface is extremely soft with its sumptuous pleated effect. Being exquisitely finsished also on the rear side, it well lends itself to being positioned in the centre of the room.
The internal part of the headboard can be covered with a di erent fabric than the bed upholstery.
Feet are upholstered in fabric.
Sumo is available in two different versions:
- with flat slatted base with wooden frame and slats; crossbars to position slatted base in varnished steel.
- with a storage compartment and a mechanism that raises the mattress to two positions, the first provides access to the storage space whilst the second is a horizontal position that facilitates bed making operations. The bed frame and slats are in wood. The bottom of the storage compartment is in melamine faced board in an ambience finish.
The particularly distinguished look of this bed gives it a refined elegance while its soft voluptuous shape suggests an all-embracing comfort and evokes a sensation of tranquility and repose.
