Magis, where form meets function
With over forty years of history and a series of products that have become global icons, Magis stands as the pinnacle of Italian design on the international stage. Founded in 1976 in Motta di Livenza, in the province of Treviso, by Eugenio Perazza, Magis has redefined the concept of furniture, combining creativity and design that is 100% Made in Italy.
The company distinguishes itself as an international experimental design laboratory, where technological sophistication intertwines with the innovative thinking of world-renowned designers. Magis has enriched the world of furniture with historical icons and new collections, collaborating with talents such as Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Ron Arad, and Naoto Fukasawa.
Magis' success is built on the values of the excellence of Made in Italy and family management, creating synergies with employees, partners, and designers. From seating to colorful accessories for the home, each product in Magis' catalog tells a unique story and carries with it the high quality that has made some of them true masterpieces of design, exhibited in the world's most prestigious art museums.
Magis' iconic collections have marked the history of design. In 1984, the folding Step ladder by Andries & Hiroko van Onck launched the company's name globally. Today, Magis continues to surprise with new creations, such as the Brut sofa collection by Konstantin Grcic, an IF Design Award winner.
Magis is also a pioneer in the reinterpretation of everyday objects, using innovative techniques such as air moulding to shape plastic. Jaime Hayon's Milà chair and Jasper Morrison's Folding Air-chair are examples of how Magis masterfully combines plastics and metals with artisanal skill and industrial technology.
